Julian was a great host very responsive and quick to help with any questions we had, we did encounter a little problem with checking in but he was quick to help sort it out. Other than that it was a nice quiet place to relax and have a little getaway. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place not far from the beach.

The interior decor was soothing and very classy. The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking meals and more. The bidet was a great touch and very appreciated. Having washer and dryers was a great plus! We appreciated the fenced yard and privacy for ourselves and our dog. It was close to all shopping and attractions. Near the interstate and airport. We had a lovely time and would recommend this as well.

The neighborhood

Riverside Park is a quiet, residential neighborhood with tree-lined streets and friendly neighbors. Its proximity to the New River and nearby marina and downtown amenities provide convenience. Residents and guests can enjoy parks, water views, and easy access to city life.

Getting around

Parking is located in the front of the home only. There is a dedicated gravel driveway where you can park. No on-street parking is permitted. Bringing a car would be the most convenient option but ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also available.

Getting in

Prior to arrival, guests will be given a unique access code for a safe and seamless check-in experience. The house is exclusively yours, without interruption during your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

Pest disclosure
We pride ourselves on a spotless home. Every stay starts with a full professional clean, and the property gets regular pest control. But this is South Florida, and the locals like to drop by. You may spot a little lizard sunning on the patio, a few ants after a rainstorm, or the occasional palmetto bug. They live outdoors here year round and can wander into even the cleanest homes. It is not a sign of an unclean stay, just a small part of Florida living.

Julian was an amazing host. His response time was quick. The home was very appealing to the eye, it felt homey, it was relaxing, and quiet. The backyard was just great beyond words. From the sauna to the cold plunge to the cowboy pool to just sitting at the table. The birds singing, the lizards running everywhere, and the giant palm trees with coconuts above. This place is really picture perfect. Fort Lauderdale is such a beautiful area, I usually stay in a condo, but had my dog this time and wanted to try something new. Will be staying in Julians place every time I visit now.

Great place to stay. We felt right at home. Clean and cozy. We didn’t spend much time in the backyard, but cool to have a cold plunge and sauna to relax. Also had games like corn hole back there. In general, this place felt like it was best of both worlds- nice place to relax, but close enough to beaches and nightlife/restaurants (10-15 min drive from most places) I would def recommend this place for couples looking to get say for the weekend.

The airbnb was so cute and clean. Loved that the gym, restaurants, grocery and other shopping, as well as the FLL airport were SO close. The amenities were great, we enjoyed the sauna, stock tank pool and especially the cold plunge since it was 90 degrees when we were there. Wish the turf area was slightly larger but otherwise it was pretty perfect, and super affordable considering the spa-like amenities. If I ever go back to Ft. Lauderdale, I would definitely stay here again :)

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location is fantastic—just a 10-15 minute drive to major supermarkets and close to the ocean. The house itself is charming and cozy, equipped with everything we needed. The sauna was a highlight, the air conditioners and all appliances worked perfectly, and the spacious backyard was great for playing games. Most importantly, the host and property manager were incredibly responsive, always available, and quick to address any questions or concerns, for which we’re truly grateful. We hope to return to this lovely home in the future!

We enjoyed the different air conditioning units in each room so we didn't have to agree on a temp! The hosts are very responsive and understanding and are willing to make your stay perfect. Julian’s place was as advertised! Very quiet and private. Super clean and comfortable. Spent 3 weeks here working remotely from the patio. Kitchen was well equipped and the washer and dryer also perfect. Oh and the cowboy pool was a hit. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Did not use any of the extra equipment apart from the cowboy pool and outdoor space/shower- these were great to have on the hot summer day. the kitchen was full of all we needed and more. A very communicative and responsive host. A great gem, would definitely go back! Thankyou for such a rare find of tranquility. As three females and baby unsure if we would feel safe to walk around but great with car, easy to get to. Tiki tiki bar was incredible-Thankyou for recommendation!

This place is awesome! We enjoyed the nice weather in the private yard. We worked out outdoors too! Loved it! The sauna is also great. House was clean and nicely decorated. Better than a hotel room any day! Beds were comfortable. I have two teenagers. One slept on the single bed and the other on the sofa bed. Quiet neighborhood which was what we were looking for. I would return for sure!

We stayed 8 days in this little paradise. The backyard pool was a hit for the kids (who spent almost everyday in it) the sauna was clean and easy to use. Julian was very helpful with instructions on it. The cold plunge was a hit with my spouse who used it everyday. It was a great place to unwind and just get a lot of relaxing in before heading back to work.

The place was amazing super relaxing and clean has a lot extra things to stay in it, Sauna and others were a great extra for us, you can tell that Julian has a lot of thought and time to make his place cozy, clean, relaxing and super cute. They were also extra helpful when it came to get instructions to operate the Sauna but at the end was worth it. On the side note we also had an encounter with a small Raccoon and I think we has more scared than us, it was a funny moment seeing him running up the palm tree and my sister running in the other direcction ( it was epic) . We loved the place, thank you Julian for sharing you beautiful place with us.

Overall the stay was great and Julian was fantastic. He was very responsive and accommodating and made the whole stay very easy. I loved the Sauna and Cold plunge which I did almost everyday and why I rented the place. The only knock that I had was the street was not quite as desirable as a couple of streets over which I could not tell from the pictures. With that being said everything was safe the whole time I was there and I loved the proximity to the beach and Las Olas. I would definitely rent again.

This is a crossfitters dream…there’s a cold plunge and sauna, exercise equipment, ceramic pans, and even mud/wtr! We were very comfortable with a family of four, and used the pool for the kids, and the extra amenities for the adults. Big table for dining outside, plenty of cooking stuff in the kitchen, and the bed was sooooo comfy. This is our second year in this house and we already want to plan for the third!

Julian’s place was amazing! It was in a nice, quiet neighborhood, the house was clean and beautiful on the inside as well. My only complaint was that the pool and cold plunge were a little dirty but other than that, I really enjoyed my stay and the amenities of the house. The bed is also very comfortable and I fell asleep within 10 minutes of laying in It. Definitely recommend staying here.

Husband and wife with infant son stayed a week at Julian's place and would highly recommend it to any other guests. Inside the house is nicely decorated with a lot of small touches, but it's the outdoor space that makes this place unique. Proper Finnish cedar sauna paired with modern cold plunge makes for invigorating and health-centric stay. He also has weights and bands so we were able to work out without leaving home. Julian was also very responsive with special requests like highchair. All in all, a 5 star experience that we'd highly recommend to other travellers.

This place was absolutely what I needed to get away from the busy life and focus my self with my wife. The cold plunge was perfect and the Sauna was great. My wife was able to relax and read her books to wine down. I was able to work out. Julian is a responsive host and makes sure everything is going great for you. He made sure the cold plunge was working well before I got there. Julian pays attention to detail at his home which makes it a perfect place for us. We will definitely be back and hopefully we can stay longer. I recommend this place to everyone.

Julian's place is beautiful and cozy. All details have been taken care of. The sauna was perfect. The kitchen appliances are first class and were functional. Something important is that there was some salt, coffee, tea, oil, shampoo, soap, etc., always useful for a traveler. Julian was also responsive, usually within an hour. I would definitely return and recommend it.

Julian (the host) was exceptional. The check-in instructions were simple and easy. The Zen Retreat is a great getaway for relaxation. It’s a true vibe. The pictures really showcase a place to relax and have a little fun! Every room of the Zen Retreat is fully equipped and met all of my needs. Super clean!!! Definitely will stay again!!!

Julian was a great host for my short stay! Everything was very clean and in order. This was a nice getaway for me since I needed a place to relax and unwind. The cold plunge and sauna were GREAT amenities for me, since I have never used any of them before, and they both made me feel relaxed and energized at the same time. When not in the sauna or cold plunge, the cowboy pool, as Julian called it, was a perfect place to cool down. At night, the outdoor area was a perfect place to relax in and hang out. This place is a phenomenal pick and I will definitely be revisiting again soon.
